Hailed as the greatest show on earth, The Royal Military Tattoo 2018 yet again returns from 3rd-25th August to celebrate ‘The Sky’s the Limit’, embracing Scotland’s Year of Young People with colourful performers joining us from across the globe.  With Switzerland’s Top Secret Drum Corps, The Central Band of the Czech Armed Forces and the Royal Air Force as they mark their 100th Anniversary, the 2018 Tattoo is sure to fly high.   The Murrayfield Hotel can’t wait for the 2018 show so here is just a few things you can expect…

Set to the backdrop of the majestic Edinburgh Castle, performers from over 48 countries have taken part in the Royal Military Tattoo, and around 30 per cent of the 220,000 audience each year are from overseas. The international flavor of the Tattoo has been deliberately developed as a key element in its capacity to entertain a huge, cosmopolitan audience.

Edinburgh Castle has dominated the skyline for centuries and is part of the Old and New Towns of Edinburgh’s World Heritage Site.  The Castle’s powerful stone walls have withstood many sieges and its sumptuous apartments were an important residence of Scottish Kings and Queens.

The Tattoo’s unique ability to bring together thousands of people for this annual celebration of music and entertainment continues and the public’s appetite for pomp and ceremony shows no sign of diminishing.  It’s highly advised to book tickets early and in advance to avoid disappointment, tickets can be purchased securely online of the official Royal Military Tattoo website by clicking here.
